Layaway Days: Art collecting on a Budget
Jasiel Caminante added an online store to his website yesterday. The Mexican-American artist received a BFA in drawing from Arizona State University, after immigrating to the United States. The majority of his prints are set around public spaces and public transit, occurring in vibrant pinks, purples, and blues. His works have a multicultural dimension, where abstraction becomes clearer, as the viewer spends more time with the piece. Taken from Caminante’s website, “Line work becomes representational of transformational movement, giving small hints of defined iconography while holding on to its original abstract nature illustrates the delineation of realities transforming.”
Signed prints are available and limited to 20 copies. No sizing information has been provided as of yet, but if I had to estimate they are likely around 11”x14”.
And here is the best part, they only cost $20! ‘Introspection’ and ‘Riding Marta’ are among my favorites.
Art isn't purchased at big-box stores. This blog is for collectors like me, who collect on a budget.
