On August 19th, I attended Lindsey Kustusch's solo show at Howard/Manville Gallery in Bellevue, Washington. The artwork was first rate, but the greatest thing about the show, was the interaction that my wife and I had with Lindsey and her husband, Nate Ross. On that day we added two new friends.
Two and a half months later, we now have a Lindsey Kustusch painting in our collection. 'Here If You Need Me' is a painting of Lindsey and Nate's cat Hank. I didn't notice at first, but the back of the painting has a quick sketch, complete with discarded whiskers. I laughed at that; so cool. The framing on the piece is absolutely stellar and it looks amazing on the wall.
Lindsey is one of my favorite artists and I am very grateful that she sold this piece, as it's a deeply personal painting. I'm beyond happy with how this turned out and I hope a cityscape is in our future! Thank you Lindsey!
Art isn't purchased at big-box stores. This blog is for collectors like me, who collect on a budget.
