Yesterday, I stayed home from work, as I dealt with a fever. The stress of starting a new job, coupled with my general anxiety, and propensity to put my hand in random gooey objects, were all contributing factors to the fever. Starz was having a free preview and after scrolling through several movies, I stumbled upon an old favorite, 'Pollock'.
Ed Harris does a phenomenal job, playing the enigmatic painter. His wife, Amy Madigan, portrays the sexually adventurous art dealer, Peggy Guggenheim. The film depicts Jackson Pollock as a self-aggrandizing, tortured painter, who struggles with alcoholism and depressive tendencies.
I am a big Jackson Pollock fan and believe the film accurately portrays the lauded artist. If you get a chance, it's worth the view.
