On October 7th, Kevin Earl Taylor's latest exhibition 'Dead Evidence' opened at Cordesa Fine Art. Kevin's prints have previously been featured on Layaway Days, as he has several affordable options available to collectors. His new show runs through November 7th, so if you're in LA head down and check out the show.
In Kevin's own words:
"This collection of paintings examines the disparate elements found drawing boundaries between natural and synthetic environments. Within the works, scenarios populated by artifacts and symbolism are presented through appropriation and visual fabrication - ultimately setting a "metaphysical museum" backdrop. The exhibition title is loosely adapted from Larry Sultan and Mike Mandel’s photo series “Evidence”. Fittingly, two of the photos from the series are seen mid-installation within the painting “Dead Evidence”; a painting which reminds the viewer that even as humankind’s urgent march toward technological advancement accelerates, our mortality constantly grounds us."
Art isn't purchased at big-box stores. This blog is for collectors like me, who collect on a budget.
