I'm really liking these two pieces created by John Felix Arnold III, this year. To see more of his stuff click on the link www.felixthethirdrock.com/

Shawn Huckins' latest exhibition with Foster White Gallery in Seattle, opens on October 5th. He returns with his witty text-based phrases, overlaying his acrylic paintings. The show promises to be another success for Mr. Huckins and I can't wait to see these large pieces, in the flesh. For more info, visit www.fosterwhite.com

Lee Price's 'Disillusion' opens tomorrow evening, at EVOKE Contemporary. Her 'Surfacing' series, contains five hyperreal panels, depicting female figures in the bath, with their head's beneath the surface. Price has released affordable prints in the past and hopefully she will release these, as they are phenomenal.
Kate Halsall's latest exhibition 'Sleeping Portraits' opened August 31st at New Art Projects. The exhibition runs through October 28th. I'm absolutely in love with 'Man On Single Bed'. I can easily relate to a chubby, tattooed guy, with a cat on the bed.
On October 1st, Michael Chamberlain will exhibit 'New Paintings' at Studio Gallery, in San Francisco. The show is distinctly SF, as the paintings depict different elements of the city. The show is affordable, as several pieces are priced <$1000. Admittedly, Studio Gallery is one of my favorite galleries. The co-owner (Jennifer Farris), has answered so many of my inane questions about owning a gallery and the art world, as a whole. Additionally, they exhibit amazing artists including: Lindsey Kustusch, Greg Gandy, Nate Ross, and Brian McDonald, among others.
The opening reception is on 10/1 and an artist talk is scheduled for 10/7. To purchase, click on the images below.
Scott Scheidly is once again taking on the biggest threat to our safety. He posted this WIP via Instagram.
